Hardly any of tomorrow's music releases catch my eye as I scan down Largehearted Boy's list. In fact, there's only two albums that appeal to me.
The War Child presents Heroes compilation is filled with sixteen amazing artists covering their favorite artists.
Proceeds from the album go to War Child International, a network of independent organizations that work to provide humanitarian aid to children affected by war.
Some of the songs on the album include Beck covering Dylan's "Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat", The Kooks covering The Kinks "Victoria", The Hold Steady covering Bruce Springsteen's "Atlantic City" and TV on the Radio covering Bowie's "Heroes."
Van Morrison fans can be ecstatic now about this news: the release of "Astral Weeks: Live", where he performed in its entirety his most, critically acclaimed album, live at the at the Hollywood Bowl.
On another note...
Ben Harper is re-releasing nearly his entire catalog on vinyl, so for those of you who are lucky enough to have a record player that still works, any of these albums would be worth it, but might I suggest picking up "Live from Mars."
