CincyPunk 8 Details

CincyPunk Fest VIII is just around the bend on April 10-11 and this year all proceeds benefit the Animal Adoption Foundation in Harrison, OH. The non-profit, no kill animal shelter has been going strong for 37 years. Visit http://www/.aafpets.com/ for more info.

Sponsored by Cincypunk. org, Cincypunk Fest is more than just a band showcase. It is a time to take in great music and catch up with old friends.

Every year it is a party for a good cause... the event has raised $18,500 for local charities since January 2005 when CP FEST III started the tradition by donating proceeds to Lighthouse Youth Services. Since then we have benefited the Women's Crisis Center, Mental Health Association, and YMCA's Core Character Values Program, among others.

Below is the confirmed lineup so far... Set times and stages will be announced in a few weeks. Check in for a few surprise announcements along the way...

Music begins at 8pm each night on all 3 of The Historic Southgate House stages.

Friday, April 10 at The Southgate House $7 - 21+ $10 - 18+

THISTLE
Returning to the festival, these local punk rock pioneers are currently celebrating fifteen years together as a band. Well-educated, seasoned vets with their own record label, Tiberius Records, Thistle has provided inspiration to a lot of the area's younger punk rock and hardcore bands.

SEEDY SEEDS
They just might be the favorite local band of you or someone you know. You may know all of their songs by heart, but you still have a hard time explaining or labeling what type of music it is. Is it indie? Is it dance? Is it electronica? Is it pop? Is it folk? Mike and Margaret use a wide variety of instruments including the banjo, accordion, toy keyboards, drum machines and even the kazoo. In the end it doesn't matter what you label it, all that matters is that it works, and it works well.

The Seedy Seeds are getting ready for next month's South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas. It will mark the first time the band has ever played the festival. Thousands of bands come from around the world to play every year in mid-March.
