Brett Dennen is an acoustic, folkie guitarist from Oakdale, California. He gives off a more relaxed, mellow feel with his music, much like a Jack Johnson or James Blunt.
His popularity began to rise with the release of his second album, 2006's So Much More, which had three successful singles. His music has since been featured on television shows like Grey's Anatomy, House, The Unit and Scrubs.
He's been on tours with artists such as John Mayer, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Guster, Mason Jennings, Colbie Caillat, Erin McCarley and Meiko.
But his most recent effort, is his best, last year's Hope for the Hopeless. The first single from the album, "Make You Crazy", features none other than an Afro-Beat legend that is also playing Bonnaroo. I'm talking about Femi Kuti. Let's hope that collaboration happens at the festival!
Here are some other singer/songwriter's like Dennen you might enjoy:
Bon Iver, Ben Sollee, Citizen Cope, Elvis Perkins
