Bonnaroo 2009 Artist: Crystal Castles

Crystal Castles is the Canadian experimental, electronica duo of Ethan Kath and vocalist Alice Glass. With the production of multi-instrumentalist Kath, and the distorted vocals of Glass, it would seem that they could have provided the soundtrack to the video game console Atari.

They formed in 2003, but did not record their first single, "Alice Practice", until 2005. Although the song was an accidental microphone test, their success on MySpace had record companies contacting them for deals.

They are known for their chaotic live shows, and their remixes of a number of groups including Bloc Party and Klaxons.

They are huge in the European music scene, having played festivals such as Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, as well as having toured with the likes of Nine Inch Nails, Metric and The Teenagers.

Electronica usually dominates the latenight scene at Bonnaroo, so I think it's safe to say we know when Crystal Castles will be playing.

Other acts at Bonnaroo you may enjoy:

Paul Oakenfold, Girl Talk, The Ting Tings
